Error description

  • Many error scenarios that result in a DFHPI0997 message being
issued when processing an SCA local component wrongly say "The
CICS pipeline manager has encountered an error: unidentified
problem". This APAR fixes the code that issues the message so
that a wider variety of explanatory message inserts are used by
CICS.

Use of SCA composites in CICS can result in DFHPI0997
messages being issued by CICS with a message insert of
'unidentified problem' in circumstances when a more
meaningful error description is available for inclusion
in the message.

Problem conclusion


    

  • DFHPIPM and DFHPIPM2 have been altered to increase the
range of meaningful error descriptions for inclusion in
the DFHPI0997 message when SCA composites are used.
