  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • CICS as a HTTP/1.1 client receives 200 OK. It receives
    only the HTTP header but not the message body.
    The HTTP header does not contain a Content-Length but
    a Connection: close
    CICS should retrieve the message body when it is terminated
    by closing the connection instead of by supplying a
    Content-Length header.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    DFHWBCL receives an HTTP1.1 response with a Connection
    Close header which includes a response body but no
    Content-Length or Transfer-Encoding header. The absence
    of these headers causes CICS to assume that there is no
    response body.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHWBCL has been altered to check for a response body, if
    an HTTP1.1 response does not contain a Content-Length header
    but the Connection header is set to 'Close'.
