Error description
This APAR is created to make a fix of apar PK80840 ( closed as RET ). You applied PTF UK41527 for APAR PK71609 along with other PTFs and FMIDs and now receive the following message each time a WebSphere MQSeries bridge message is processed. . DFHMQ0704E date time applid CKBR trannum EIBRESP=22 EIBRESP2=0 returned for EXEC CICS call. EIBFN=1008. This accompanied by an LE abend U4094 and CICS abend AMQH. The EIBFN 1008 is an EXEC CICS START and the EIBRESP 22 is a LENGERR condition. A system dump for the DFHMQ0704E message indicates the LENGTH on the EC START command for the CKBP transaction has a value of zero resulting in the LENGERR, however a previous AP A109 trace entry correctly traces the length of the MQ message headers for x'0520' bytes. The zero length value is being set by DFHMQBR0 from field dfhbp020 in the C WSA ( Writable Static Area ). The C++ compiler generates an @@INIT@ csect to initialize the WSA. The Prelinker utility included the DFHMQBR0, DFHMQRB2 and DFHMQRB3 modules and produced output OBJ DFHMQR0@ which contained a merged WSA and a single @@INIT@ csect, however the DFHMQR2@ and DFHMQR3@ prelinker output OBJ members were also included in the PTF. In this instance, due to the SMPE installation of the JCI6503 FMID and the UK41527 PTF, the sequence of the INCLUDEs were reordered and the binder used the @@INIT@ csect from DFHMQR3@ which did not fully map the WSA. . Only one OBJ output from the merged input XOBJ members should be included in the PTF which contains a merged WSA and a single @@INIT@ csect. .

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Runtime errors may occur when the * * CICS owned MQ bridge is started due to * * incorrect initialisation of the WSA * * for DFHMQBR0. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Runtime errors may occur when the CICS owned MQ bridge is started, for example: ABENDAMQH DFHMQ0704E CKBR CKBP START LENGERR EIBRESP 22. The errors may be due to incorrect initialisation of the WSA for DFHMQBR0 which resulted from INCLUDE statements for DFHMQR0@, DFHMQR2@ and DFHMQR3@ being reordered by SMP/E at the time when DFHMQBR0 was link-edited. Only the include statement for DFHMQR0@ should be present when DFHMQBR0 is link-edited.
Problem conclusion
The include stmts for DFHMQR2@ and DFHMQR3@ are removed from JCLIN.
