PK95485: C PRECOMPILER DFHEDP1$ DOES NOT INSERT A CONTINUATION CHARACTER IF IN COLUMN 72 IS A SPACE. I JUST SPLITS THE LINE.

Error description

• C translator DFHEDP1$ splits all sourcelines at column 72 by
  inserting a backslash as a line continuation character.
  If the character on column 72, however, is a space it just
  splits the line without inserting the continuation character.
  This works in most situations. But not for example if you use
  the "//" as C comment (compile-option SSCOMM). If this line is
  split without a continuation character the following compile
  step gets a syntax error :
  
  EDC0347 SYNTAX ERROR: POSSIBLE MISSING ';' OR ','
  

Local fix

• Manuelly insert a continuation character in column 72 .

Problem conclusion

• The CICS C translator, DFHEDP1$, has been changed to correctly
  add a continuation character to the first part of a split output
  line when using options
  MARGINS(1,80,0),OPMARGINS(1,72,0),OPSEQUENCE(73,80).
