Error description

  • You logon to a WUI which connects to 'CMAS-A'. You change the
CMAS Context to 'CMAS-B', then navigate to the
EYUSTARTCPLXCMAS.TABULAR view and attempt to unassign 'CMAS-C'
from the CICSPlex. This results in an error and you receive the
    following back in your browser:
    .
EYUVC1231E 'Unassign' (UNASSIGN) request failed. Request
complete for 1 records. (Tableerror, Dataerror)
EYUVC1272I Action (UNASSIGN) failed. Requested resource not
                found (2).
    EYUVC1280I nn records collected at mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss.

Local fix

  • As a temporary workaround, there are two ways for you to
    proceed.
    Option One:
From the EYUSTARTADMCONFG menu select option 'CICSplex
definitions', put a check mark next to the CICSPlex you want
to unassign the CMAS from, then click on the Unassign button.
You will either need to manually type in the CMAS name or use
the Pencil Prompt to select it from a list.
    Option Two:
The problem does not occur using the same sequence of panels
you used if you logon to a WUI that connects directly to the
MP CMAS, which is what you had set for your CMAS Context,
instead of using a WUI that connects to a non-MP and then
       changing the CMAS Context.

    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this *
    * APAR, all CMASes must be restarted. Note *
    * that the restarts do not need to occur at *
    *                 the same time.                               *
    ****************************************************************
When a CPLXCMAS UNASSIGN action is issued, the current result
set of CPLXCMAS records is used to build the UNASSIGN request,
using the origin CMAS as specified in the result set to direct
    where it will be executed.

Because of an error in the message argument list (MAL) for the
CPLXCMAS GET action, the CPLXCMAS result set records specify the
local CMAS as the origin CMAS, instead of the CONTEXT CMAS.

If the local CMAS is the CONTEXT CMAS, then no error will occur.
However, if the local CMAS is not the CONTEXT CMAS, then either
of the errors described above will occur.

Problem conclusion

  • The CPLXCMAS GET MAL, EYUZCCPB, has been updated to ensure that
the origin CMAS is set correctly in the CPLXCMAS result set, and
the appropriate method tables (EYU9CMPx) have been reassembled
    to pick up the change.
