Error description

• Abend AEXZ is issued by DFHERM after a CHANGE_MODE request fails
  with a DISASTER response. The symptom string indicates that the
  problem involves a call to the DB2 TRUE, DFHD2EX1:

  This APAR is taken to provide appropriate trace information and
  reason codes for the AEXZ abend.

  An application ended with an abendAEXZ because a
  DFHDSATI FUNCTION(CHANGE_MODE) call in DFHERM failed and
  returned a DISASTER response (an abend AEXY could also be issued
  if the DFHDSATI FUNCTION(CHANGE_MODE) call were to return a
  PURGED response).  However, CICS gives no indication of the
  cause of these abends.

Problem conclusion

• DFHERM has been changed to add a new AP 2535 trace point which
  will be issued following a Change Mode failure leading to an
  abendAEXZ or abendAEXY.
  
  The CICS Transaction Server for z/OS Version 3 Release 2 Data
  Areas manual, GC34-6863-01, will be updated as follows:
  
  A new constant for DFHERM will be added to table 621 in section
  "TIE Task interface element" as follows:
