Error description

  • Your TXSeries 7.1 is configured to communicate with CICS TS 3.2
using an IPIC connection. After a DPL from TXSeries to CICS TS,
CICS TS sends a sync level 2 message back, when it should be
sending a sync level 1 message. The application server on the
TXSeries platform is not expecting this, and it subsequently
    hangs.

    ****************************************************************
A TXseries application server may hang when sending a DPL
request over an IPIC connection. The application in CICS then
issued a DPL request back to TXSeries. During syncpointing CICS
TS did not realise that the RM link it had for the second DPL
was for TXSeries. TXSeries does not support two phase commit.
CICS TS sent a perform prepare message which TXSeries was not
expecting and the TXSeries application server was left hanging.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHISJU has been changed to turn a two phase commit request to a
single phase commit request if the remote system does not
    support two phase commit.
