Error description

  • If you are running with an XICEREQ exit and trying to execute
the CONVERTTIME command, you will receive an ABENDAEXU.
The abend description says the abend is a result of the
    following actions:
During execution of an EXEC CICS command, a NOTPOSS condition
has been raised on encountering an invalid parameter. This is
probably caused by a previous storage overlay.
In this reported scenario, the ARG0 value had been corrupted.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
DFHEIDTI sets up the parameters for the GLUE including a copy of
arg0. The GLUE XICEREQ is invoked and afterwards routine
rebuild_eid is invoked to ensure that arg0 has not been
invalidly modified by the EXIT. Unfortunately, it does not cater
for CONVERTTIME and corrupts the EID (arg0). The result is that
when an EXEC CICS CONVERTTIME request is now issued it fails
with a response of NOTPOSS and ABEND AEXU.

    Additional Keywords. ABEND AEXU

Problem conclusion

  • DFHEIDTI has been amended to ensure that CONVERTTIME in the
EID is not modified when EXIT XICEREQ is enabled.
