Error description
You use CPSM BAS to define CICS resources during CICS startup. Some of those resources are of type DOCTEMPLATE. They are HTML code stored in a PDS. . The CICS publications document that DOCTEMPLATEs that are installed during region initialization are not cached until they are first used, but you find that the ones created by BAS get cached anyway. . BAS uses the EXEC CICS CREATE SPI call to define DOCTEMPLATEs. Even when these CREATE calls are made during CICS initialization, the DOCTEMPLATEs that are HTML-based code in PDS's are being cached. They should not be. . The same situation occurs if you have your own PLTPI program issuing EXEC CICS CREATE DOCTEMPLATE calls using the CICS SPI during region initialization Additional Symptoms: CICS EDSA ECDSA DHCACHE KIXREVRBD

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DOCTEMPLATE resources installed during * * PLT processing are cached, slowing * * CICS initialization and using up * * storage. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Document templates that are installed from the GRPLIST during CICS startup are not cached, by copying them into storage, at that time. Each of these document templates is cached when it is referenced for the first time by an application. However, document templates installed during CICS initialization by EXEC CICS CREATE DOCTEMPLATE requests issued by a late stage PLT program or by CICSPlex SM BAS autoinstall, are cached which delays initialization and uses up storage.
Problem conclusion
Document Handler domain initialization is changed so that DOCTEMPLATE resources installed during late stage PLT processing or CICSPlex SM BAS autoinstall are not cached until first reference by an application. When using BAS autoinstall, the MASPLTWAIT EYUPARM system parameter must be set to YES. DFHDHRP now waits for the phase DMPH_TOP, rather than DMPH_RECOVERY_ACTIVE, before setting a flag to indicate that a cached copy is to be created for subsequent DOCTEMPLATE installs.
