PM08497: EYUXD0108E DATA REPOSITORY INITIALIZATION FAILED. CMAS NAME NOT DEFINED ON REPOSITORY AFTER USING EYU9XDUT

Error description

• You upgrade your CPSM environment to 4.1 from a lower release.
  At some point you decide to roll back to the earlier release.
  You run the EYU9XDUT utility again to convert the EYUDREP file
  back to the former release.  When you restart your CMAS, it now
  fails to initialize, and receives the following:

  EYUXD0108E applid Data Repository initialization failed. CMAS
  name 'cmasname' not defined on repository.
  .
  The CMAS then takes an SVC dump with a code of EYUXL001.
  .
  In an AUX trace of the CMAS you find an exception traced out
  with the following

  * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
  *                 APAR, any CMAS's data repositories which     *
  *                 were converted from V4.1 to a lower release  *
  *                 must be reconverted by rerunning EYU9XDUT    *
  *                 against the V4.1 data repository.            *
  ****************************************************************
     The length of the CMASDEF record created by EYU9XDUT when a
  new repository is initialized, was increased in V4.1.  When a
  data repository is converted from one release to another, the
  CMASDEF record is read to verify the current release of the
  repository.  The CMASDEF record image is then converted to the
  new release, saved and written to the new repository after all
  other records in the repository have been converted.  However,
  the length of the converted CMASDEF record was not saved, so
  the record was written to the new repository with the length
  of the V4.1 reord.
     In addition, the CPSM version of the new repository was
  placed in the CMASDEF record at the V4.1 offset, not the field
  offset in the older record format.
  

Problem conclusion

• Module EYU9XDU1 (XDU1 - Repository Utility Conversion Driver)
  was updated to calculate the CMASDEF record length after con-
  version, and to use that length to write the record to the new
  repository, and to place the CPSM release of the new repository
  at the proper offset in the CMASDEF record.
