Error description
You are trying to use XRF to make a smooth recovery from the ACTIVE to the ALTERNATE. Once the takeover has been initiated, DFHSN0002 (code x'2097) occurs in the once ACTIVE CICS region. CSNE is called when an XRF capable terminal is CLSDST'd and tries to signoff the terminal user. Since we are in takeover (APDM_S_TAKEOVER has already been set) DFHSNTU treats this as a disaster response, writes an exception trace entry and takes a DUMP on the DFHSN0002. This should not be a hard failure in that the ALTERNATE system will be taking over. Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): extended recovery facility RSTSIGNOFF=FORCE AUTOCONNECT(YES)2097 KIXREVSCB

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: MSGDFHSN0002 code 2097 when shutting * * down an XRF active system using CEMT * * PERFORM SHUTDOWN TAKEOVER. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** CEMT PERFORM SHUTDOWN TAKEOVER is issued to shutdown an XRF active system where there are users signed on at XRF terminals. The APDM_S_TAKEOVER flag is set to indicate that a takeover is in progress. Shutdown now progresses normally which causes terminal activity to be quiesced. Sessions signoff is initiated as part of session cleanup. When this occurs for a session which supports XRF, DFHSNTU calls DFHSNXR for function XRF_EXTERNALIZE in order to reflect the new signon state to the XRF alternate region. DFHSNXR detects that takeover is already in progress and returns an EXCEPTION with reason TAKEOVER_IN_PROGRESS. This should be treated as a soft error by DFHSNTU but a DISASTER response is raised and this produces the DFHSN0002 message and SN0002 system dump.
Problem conclusion
DFHSNTU has been changed to tolerate an EXCEPTION response of TAKEOVER_IN_PROGRESS from DFHSNXR during SIGNOFF processing.
