Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM V4R1M0 Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: You have a CPSM API program that * * issues the command: * * . * * EXEC CPSM PERFORM OBJECT('REQID') * * ACTION('CANCEL'). * * . * * The CRITERIA is the Request Name in * * lower case like NAME='my-reqid'. The * * command returns RESPONSE=1024 (NODATA) * * and REASON=0, and the request with the * * lower case name is not cancelled. If * * the program attempts to cancel a REQID * * with an upper case name, the request * * is cancelled as expected. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this * * APAR, all CMASes must be recycled to pick * * up the new code. Note that the restarts * * do not need to be done at the same time. * * However, a CMAS must be restarted with the * * changed code before an API program, or WUI * * or CMCI server which connects to the CMAS * * will be able to process a REQID with a lower * * case name. * **************************************************************** The NAME attribute of the REQID resource table was defined as upper case only. This causes lower case value strings in CRITERIA statements to be folded to upper case.
Problem conclusion
The "uppercase='NO'" tag was added to the definition of the NAME attribute of the REQID resource table.
