    this API.' is issued when using the API for the CICS Assistants
    and running on Linux.

Comments

  • Using the API for the CICS Assistants when running on Linux
    will no longer result in a DFHPI9610W 'platform unsupported'
    message being issued.
    
    The CICS Transaction Server V4.1 Web Services Guide
    (SC34-7020-01) Chapter 8 'Creating a Web service', Section
    'Creating a Web service using tooling' will be updated as
    follows:
    
    In step 1 of the 'procedure' replace the last sentence of
    the second bullet with
    
    You can run your Java program on the z/OS, Windows , or
    Linux  platform. If you run the program on Windows or Linux,
    transfer the generated Web services binding file to a suitable
    pickup directory in binary mode using FTP or an equivalent
    process.
