Error description

  • If a CPSM TSSJ transaction is running to join a MAS to a
CMAS and a disconnect for the same MAS comes in at the same
time, CPSM will attempt to purge the TSSJ transaction and issue
    an EYUTS0025I message:
    .
EYUTS0025I Topology Join for xxxxx terminated due to Disconnect
               request - APPLID(xxxxx) CICSplex(yyyyyyy).
    .
If CICS is not able to purge the TSSJ immediately, the abend may
    be deferred.

    .
At the same time, an AFCY abend is produced, and CPSM requests
an SVC dump. In this instance, the dump is not necessary for
diagnostic purposes, and can be suppressed. This APAR is being
submitted to add additional checking and suppress the
    unnecessary dump.
    .
Note that the same situation may occur if a MAS is connecting to
a CMAS. In that case, the transaction would be TSSC.

    ****************************************************************
When a disconnect request is received for a MAS while it is in
the process of connecting or joining to a CMAS, method EYU0TSST
(TSST) calls method EYU0XLTP (XLTP) to terminate the connect
task (transaction TSSC) or join task (transaction TSSJ). If the
TSSC or TSSJ task is in a wait, then XLTP will post the
termination ECB and only the EYUTS0025I will be returned. If
the TSSC or TSSJ task is performing data repository I/O, then
XLTP will issue a EXEC CICS SET TASK FORCEPURGE request. This
will drive CPSM abend recovery, where module EYU9XLRW will issue
the EYUXL09nns abend informational messages, and module EYU9XLRV
    will request a dump.

Problem conclusion

  • Updates have been made to suppress the abend informational
messages and the dump if a TSSC or TSSJ task is forcepurged
because the MAS being connected or joined has terminated.

    - TSST will pass a new parameter when calling XLTP.

    - if the new parameter has been specified, and a force purge is
required, XLTP will turn on a new flag in the object process
block (OPB) of the task to be terminated.

    - when called for abend recovery, EYU9XLRV will check if the
new OPB flag is on for the abending task. If so, EYU9XLRV
will bypass the call to EYU9XLRW, thus suppressing the abend
informational messages, and will not request a dump.
