    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFH$FORA is defined as REENTRANT by *
    * HCI6600 JCLIN causing it to be placed *
    *                      in key 0 protected storage by z/OS.     *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The JCLIN HCI6600 defines the sample application DFH$FORA as
    REENTRANT which causes z/OS to place it in key 0 protected
    storage. Hwoever, since this is used to interact with other
    CICS programs running in key 8 storage, data cannot be passed
    between DFH$FORA and the key 8 programs.

Problem conclusion

  • A new version of DFH$FORA has been shipped along with new JCLIN
    defining DFH$FORA to be non-reentrant thus preventing it from
    being placed in key 0 storage by z/OS.
