Error description

• Abend 4038 on STAT transaction if DFH0STSY is compiled with LE
  option SSRANGE.

  IGZ0074S A reference modification start position value of 1 and
  length value of 164 on line 002872 caused reference to be
  made beyond the rightmost character of data item MNG-DATA.
  From compile unit DFH0STSY at entry point DFH0STSY at compile
  unit offset +00005F44 at entry offset +00005F44 at address
  19EDCF6C.
  .
  MNGDS-DATA field in dfh0stsy.copy  and
  DSG-TCB-POOL field in DFHSDGDS  are incorrectly defined.

  After compiling DFH0STSY with SSRANGE, running the STAT
  transaction produces an abend U4038 with an error message
  like this:
  
  IGZ0074S A reference modification start position value of
  1 and length value of 164 on line 002872 caused a reference
  to be made beyond the rightmost character of data item
  MNG-DATA.
  
  After correction, there is another error that will also cause
  a 4038 abend with an IGZ0006S error message like this:
  
  IGZ0006S The reference to table DSG-TCB-POOL by verb number 01
  on line 004460 addressed an area outside the region of the
  table.
  
  A similar abend and message IGZ0006S will occur if the
  customer recompiles the DFHSTUP sample extract exit DFH0XSTR
  with the COBOL compiler SSRANGE option, as this also uses
  DSG-TCB-POOL in DFHDSGDS.

Problem conclusion

• The source code for DFH0STSY and the COBOL version of DFHDSGDS
