    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABEND0C4 in DFHTRPX after a FEPI *
    *                      session is unbound.                     *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    FEPI issues a TERMSESS OPTCD=UNBIND command to VTAM to directly
    UNBIND the session to the target system. On completion the
    TERMSESS RPL exit DFHSZXFR is driven and sets FEPI connection
    flags to reflect the now unbound state. However flag
    SZD_CD_BINDR, 'BIND received' , is left SET.

    When the FEPI SLU2 Session Controller DFHSZ2SC runs it finds
    SZD_CD_BINDR set ON (and SZD_CD_OPNSEC off) and calls module
    DFHSZ2SB for BIND processing. However SZ_CD_BINDR was left on
    residually, and there is no incoming BIND to process. DFHSZ2SB
    fails attempting to write an AP 1476 ENTRY trace record because
    Data2, the VTAM session parameters addressed by SZD_CD_PARMSESS,
    is freemained storage. The reported DFHTR0112 and DFHAP0001
    messages and dump result.

Problem conclusion

  • The TERMSESS RPL exit DFHSZXFR has been changed to reset
    SZD_CD_BINDR on completion of a TERMSESS OPTCD=UNBIND command.
