Error description

  • You are using a diagnostic tool called STROBE against a CICS /
CPSM region. You obtain an SVC dump of the region and try to
use the IPCS VERBEXIT EYU9Dxxx command to perform diagnosis, but
receive the following message in IPCS

CURRENT CICS job not found during ASCB scan.
      EYU9D320 exit is terminating.

The CICS IPCS VERBEXIT DFHPDxxx has no problems finding and
formatting the dump, and you know that the dump was a complete
    SVC dump.

To verify that this is indeed your issue, you can use the
    following diagnostic command
    .
      VERBX EYU9Dxxx 'XLWA'
    .
Toward the bottom of the list, you will see an entry like the
    following, with the "STRBVPH2" eyecatcher.
    .
    *ACS: 009FD290 CDENAME
      +0000 E2E3D9C2 E5D7C8F2 *STRBVPH2 * 009FD290

    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this *
    * APAR, rerun the CPSM IPCS VERBEXIT, ensuring *
    * that IPCS is accessing the version of the *
    * VERBEXIT updated by the PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
When the CPSM IPCS VERBEXIT is used to process a dump, the MVS
TCBs of the requested address space are scanned to verify that
the address space is a CICS address space, since the address
space cannot be a valid CPSM CMAS, MAS or WUI server if it is
    not a CICS address space.

Products such as STROBE modify the MVS TCB structure of CICS
address spaces such that the CPSM IPCS VERBEXIT will fail its
scan, producing one of the messages specified above.

Problem conclusion

  • EYU9D320 has been updated to properly verify whether a requested
address space is a CICS address space, even if the normal CICS
MVS TCB structure has been modified by a product such as STROBE.
