Error description
You are running CICS TS 3.2 and receive the following message: DFHSM0133 CICS is under stress (short on storage above 16MB) A dump at the time of the SOS condition showed the largest DSA was the ECDSA. Within the ECDSA the largest subpool was BAGENRAL. There is an Omegamon task suspended for BAGENRAL storage. It has issued an EXEC CICS INQUIRE-ACTIVITYID command. The CICS internal trace shows this task has also issued the following commands: STARTBROWSE-ACTIVITY GETNEXT-ACTIVITY STARTBROWSE-EVENT GETNEXT-EVENT It turns out some storage - BABUSEG1 getmained from the BAGENRAL subpool during STARTBROWSE-EVENT processing is not getting released properly. An application has been browsing the abended activities and associated events, via the STARTBROWSE-EVENT SPI. During these browses, CICS has experienced a Short on Storage condition in ECDSA. The storage appears to have been consumed by storage subpool BAGENRAL. Additional Keywords: SFR
Problem conclusion
DFHBAAC has been amended so that storage for BABUSEG1 (in the BAGENRAL subpool) is released immediately after having been GETMAINed, if it is found that there is no event pool associated with the activity.
