Error description
Your CICS region abended with these messages: . DFHLG0002 CICSPROD A severe error (code X'210A') has occurred in module DFHL2CC . DFHLG0734 CICSPROD A severe error (code X'3337') has occurred while accessing the CICS system log. CICS will be terminated. . This happened when a task was forcepurged while recovery manager was creating a log chain for the task. The relevant CICS internal exception trace entries look like this: . LG 2103 L2CC *EXC* Recovery_entered CREATE_CHAIN_TOKEN LG 210A L2CC *EXC* Unknown_kernel_error CREATE_CHAIN_TOKEN LG 3337 L2SLE *EXC* System_log_access_disaster . (That last LG 3337 trace entry will only be in the DFHLG0734 dump, not the DFHLG0002 dump.) . Additional keywords: forcepurge DFHL2CC

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CICS terminated with messages DFHLG0002 * * and DFHLG0734. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** In the reported problem, a CICS system terminated with messages DFHLG0002 and DFHLG0734. A task was FORCE PURGED whilst it was in the logger domain for syncpoint phase 1 calling resource owners to prepare for the syncpoint. One call was to DB2 and the UOW attempted to record on the system log the fact it had prepared to link to DB2. At this point, the UOW had not yet logged so the logger domain attempted to create a chain instance for system log usage and it was during this processing that the task was FORCE PURGED. As a consequence, an LGCC_DISASTER response was set. DFHLGCC treats such a response with zero tolerance and terminated CICS. Problem conclusion
Logger code has been modified and UOWs will now be prevented from being FORCE PURGED whilst creating an instance of a log chain token.
