Error description

  • DFHWS2LS is being used to create a WSBIND file. The WSBIND
    file appears to generate with no issues as there are no failures
    within the associated log file. When the Pipeline is installed
    either at startup or manually with CEDA, DFHPI0914 is produced
    indicating the WEBSERVICE is unusable due to the WSBIND file
    being corrupt. This is because the first ICM, within the WSBIND
    file, cannot be located. Failure only occurs with
    MAPPING LEVEL 3.0

Local fix

  • Regenerate WSBIND file using MAPPING LEVEL 2.2

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message DFHPI0914 "webservice           *
    * UNUSABLE because of WSBIND file *
    * corrupted" is issued when a pipeline *
    * is installed with wsbind which was *
    * generated with mapping level 3.0 and *
    * contains abstract data types. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Mapping level 3.0 has larger (x'300' longer) index entries
    except for abstract data types. When a wsbind file gets
    installed, DFHPIWR is unable to validate the wsbind file because
    the lengths of the index entries are incorrect.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHWS2LS has been changed to make index entries for abstract
    data types the same length as other entries at mapping level 3.0
