Error description

  • You are using RDz to generate WSBIND files using the integrated
DFHWS2LS feature. When you deploy these artifacts, you notice
after the PIPELINE scan is done, the webservice resource that is
created does not contain any value for the WSDLFILE attribute.
    .
You ensured that the WSDL file and the WSBIND file are both
present in path specified by the WSDIR attribute on the
    pipeline attribute.
    .
When reviewing a trace of the pipeline scan, you see that CICS
is unable to correctly locate the file due to spaces in the path
name from creating the wsbind file on a PC.
    .
When looking at the trace from the pipeline scan, you see the
    following trace entry:
    0E01 DHFS EXIT - FUNCTION(READ_HFS_FILE) RESPONSE(OK)
                       USS_RESPONSE(00000000) USS_REASON(00000000)
                       CONTENT(1F7EC010 , 00004520 , 00004520)
    .
    This results in the following:
    *>WSBIND<....201102091127....C:\D*
    *ocuments and Settings\IBML2SUP\I*
    *BM\rationalsdp\workspace\Company*
    * IBM\Top Down\.metadata\.plugins*
    *\com.ibm.etools.xmlent.batch.uti*
    *l\123456789ABCD\InquireCatalog1.*
    *wsbind *
    .
We then do an inquire on the path name, and because DFHPISC
assumes that a space indicates the end of a file name, it stops
after "Documents". When it steps back to the final '/' or '\'
to get the filename and appends it to the shelf directory, this
causes an incorrect name and the file is not found.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
RDz is used to generate Web Services for CICS from a language
structure and the WSDL file is placed in a directory path
containing spaces. For example, "C:\Documents and Settings\Admin
\My Documents\mywsdl.wsdl". The WSBIND and WSDL files are then
uploaded to the WSDIR directory of a CICS pipeline on z/OS and
the pipeline is then installed. The WEBSERVICE resource that is
generated contains an empty WSDLFILE attribute instead of the
    WSDL file name.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHPISC has been changed so that the WEBSERVICE resource
contains a valid WSDL file name on the WSDLFILE attribute
when the associated pipeline is installed.
