Error description
You are trying to use CPSM BATCHREP to list or dump CPSM resources from the EYUDREP repository. You have resources defined in mixed case or lower case, such as transaction definition 'abcd'. When you view the output produced by the BATCHREP process, your transaction has been changed to 'ABCD' instead of 'abcd'. Other fields such as a 'Description' field are also affected. . The issue is that SIT parameter MSGCASE has been set to UPPER in your SIT. This should only affect messages produced by CICS and CPSM, not the output of utilities such as BATCHREP. . KIXREVSVR
Local fix
Change your SIT parameter to MSGCASE=MIXED
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM V4R1M0 Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When BATCHREP is executed through a * * CMAS which has the CICS SIT parameter * * MSGCASE set to UPPER, all output * * written to the JES spool files and the * * OUTPUT DATASET, if requested, is folded * * to upper case. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this * * APAR, all CMASes must be restarted. Note * * that the restarts do not need to occur at * * the same time. * **************************************************************** When a BATCHREP request is processed, method EYU0XDBO (XDBO) writes header information, messages, input control statements and the resulting data to a JES spool file. Additionally, if an OUTPUT DATASET is specified in the input control statements, the output for DUMP requests is written to the specified OUTPUT DATASET. Currently, XDBO folds to upper case all data written to the JES spool file and the OUTPUT DATASET if the MSGCASE SIT parameter is set to UPPER for the CMAS. While the header information and messages should be folded to upper case, the input control statements and the resulting data should not be folded to upper case.
Problem conclusion
XDBO has been updated to never fold BATCHREP input control statements and the resulting data to upper case.
