Error description

  • When a MAS which is a CPSM WLM target region is removed from all
Topology CICS system groups that are named as the AORSCOPEs of a
workload, a CMAS may not terminate the MAS as a target region
from the workload if the MAS is a target region in another
workload that is installed in the CMAS.

If the MAS is not terminated as a target region from the
workload then the CMAS will not issue EYULOG message EYUWM0425I,
and a GET request for WLMAWAOR records for the workload through
a WUI session or API program connected to the CMAS will return a
    record for the MAS.

When a MAS is removed from a Topology CICS system group
(CSYSGRP), method EYU0WMUA (WMUA) is called in the CMAS. If the
MAS is a target region in a workload that is installed in the
CMAS, then WMUA determines if the removal of the MAS from the
CSYSGRP results in it being removed from the AORSCOPE for the
workload. If that is the case, then WMUA calls method EYU0WMAT
(WMAT) to terminate the MAS as a target region from the
workload. A logic error in WMAT may result in the MAS not being
terminated from the workload. If the MAS is not a target region
in any other workloads installed in the CMAS, then an additional
call is made to WMAT to terminate the MAS as a target region
from all workloads installed in the CMAS. When this occurs, the
MAS will be terminated properly. However, if the MAS is still a
target region in another workload installed in the CMAS, then
the additional call to WMAT is not performed and the MAS will
not be terminated as a target region from any workloads
    installed in the CMAS.

Problem conclusion

  • The logic error in WMAT that results in a target region not
being terminated from a specific workload has been corrected.
