Error description
You have defined a requester pipeline configuration file with a transport section. Inside the transport section you have provided parameters in the <handler_parameter_list> tag which is longer than 256 bytes. When you invoke the webservice request, the parameter list is truncated. The problem occurs when the parameter list is greater than 256 bytes. DFHPIPL routine populate_transport_node_element uses MVC to move the parameter list from the config file to the data block PITNEDA. This means only a maximum of 256 bytes can be copied; data greater than 256 is truncated. Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): KIXREVSWM Get container DFH-HANDLERPLIST shows the truncated data.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Pipeline config file transport * * handler parameter list is truncated * * when its length is greater than 256 * * bytes. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** DFHPIPL routine populate_transport_node_element use MVC to move the transport handler parameter list from the config file to control block PITNEDA. If the transport handler parameter list content is greater than 256 bytes, the content will be truncated. If the transport handler parameter list content is NULL, the length of parameter is calculated as a negative number which overlay the data in control block and caused abend 0C4/AKEA which is described in PM37513 as an DUP apar.
Problem conclusion
DFHPIPL has been changed to handle the transport handler parameter list element to make a complete copy of parameter content and calculate the correct length of content.
