Error description

  • An abend0C4 may occur in DFHUEH at offset x'1008' because
register 13 is not pointing to the CSA. This can happen when
control returns back to DFHUEH after a global user exit program
has executed. DFHUEH is not re-establishing the proper
environment by ensuring that register 13 is pointing to the CSA.
This is occurring within a very narrow code path through
    DFHUEH.

In the reported problem, an 0C4 abend occurred in module DFHUEH
on return from an EXIT. DFHUEH was attempting to reference
field sma_isolation_flags but a base register used to address
the dsect containing this field was incorrectly set up and
caused an 0C4. This also presented as a DFHAP0002 error.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHUEH has been modified and will now correctly set up the
base register to address the CSA.
