Error description

  • The number of variable inserts for message EYUWM0434W have
increased from 3 to 4 to identify the connection type as
    either IPIC or SNA.
    .
Module EYU0WMAA (Workload Manager AOR Activation) resolves all 4
inserts, but does not insert the correct connection type as
    either "SNA" or "IPIC".
    .
Module EYU0WMTJ (Workload Manager TOR Join) only resolves the
original 3 message insert variables and the 4th is issued with
text insert string "<< VARIABLE VALUE NOT SUPPLIED >>".

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When multiple SNA connections exist *
    * between a CPSM WLM routing region and *
    *                      target region, messages EYUWM0434W and  *
    * EYUWM0435W may be issued with missing *
    * or incorrect insert values. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this *
    * APAR, all CMASes must be restarted. Note *
    * that the restarts do not need to occur at *
    *                 the same time.                               *
    ****************************************************************
When multiple SNA connections exist between a target and routing
region, workload manager must select one of the connections for
    routing:

    - If duplicate connections are installed at region startup,
workload manager selects the first installed connection and
issues message EYUWM0434W to document this.

    - If a duplicate connection is installed dynamically after
region startup, workload manager will switch to the newly
installed connection, and issue message EYUWM0435W
       documenting this.

Currently, the messages displayed may contain missing or invalid
    inserts.

Problem conclusion

  • The message prototypes for EYUWM0434W and EYUWM0435W, contained
in module EYUMCWMx, have been updated to indicate a duplicate
connection type of SNA. Methods EYU0WMTJ (WMTJ) and EYU0WMAA
(WMAA) have been updated to provide the proper inserts for
message EYUWM0434W. Method EYU0WMTU (WMTU) has been updated to
provide the proper inserts for message EYUWM0435W.

The text of the updated messages will be similar to the
    following:

EYUWM0434W Multiple SNA connections are installed from routing
region (<torname>) to target region (<aorname>).
                WLM will use connection (<conname>).

EYUWM0435W An additional SNA connection has been installed
from routing region (<torname>) to target region
(<aorname>). WLM will now use connection
                (<new_connname>) instead of (<prev_conname>).
