APAR status

Error description

  • You have migrated to CICS TS 4.1 and the JVM would not start by
DFHSJ0904 Exception javax.naming.NamingException: Error during
resolve ( Root exception is java.lang.NullPointerException )
occurred creating object reference for class.  Followed by
DFHDU0203I A transaction dump was taken for dumpcode: AJ05.
This fails when the value for cipherSuites is set to nulls.

A Java program is running in CICS. It is acting as an EJB
client and is calling an EJB hosted in WAS. A DFHSJ0904
'Exception javax.naming.NamingException: Error during resolve'
message is issued followed by a transaction dump when it is
trying to call the EJB. This is caused by exception:
java.lang.NullPointerException. This fails because the cipher
suites have not been initialized.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • CICSTransport.java, getRequestStream method is changed so that
cipher suites are only used when they are configured.
