Error description

  • In DFHRSSR, a call is made to DFHRSFDL. If the customer does not
have group DFHRS in their grouplist, and they have program
autoinstall enabled, DFHRSFDL gets defined incorrectly. Since
DFHRSFDL is the only resource defined in group DFHRS, and since
it is a CICS system module, we believe it would be best to have
DFHRSSR first check to see if DFHRSFDL is defined, and if not,
define it with the correct attributes, rather than allowing it
to be defined incorrectly through program autoinstall.

In the reported problem, a CPSM managed CICS system was started
with program autoinstall active and group DFHRS ( containing
program DFHRSFDL ) was not installed during startup.
                                                                   .
During startup, DFHRSSR was driven as part of setting up the
CPSM environment and this did a LINK_EXEC to DFHRSFDL. Not
finding it, caused CICS to autoinstall it but did so using
default and incorrect DEFINE parameters. As a consequence,
DFHRSFDL abended AEZD meaning an attempt was made to run
DFHRSFDL in EXECKEY(USER) when the program's transaction was
defined TASKDATAKEY(CICS). This combination of program and
    transaction definitions was invalid.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHRSSR has been modified to check that DFHRSFDL is defined to
program manager and if not, define it prior to invoking it.
