Error description

  • When CICS translates a WSDL to Cobol Copybook using DFHWS2LS at
Mapping Level 2.2 or higher it fails to translate substitution
groups with recurring structural content. The substitution
group fields in the language structure passed to the application
are not being filled in correctly.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHWS2LS generates WSBind file with *

    ****************************************************************
DFHWS2LS is used to process a WSDL document that contains
a recurring substitutable XML element with complex
content. In this scenario the generated WSBind file
contains errors such that the CICS XML transform routines
generate invalid data. the field to represent the
occurrence information is missing from the generated data,
and the remaining data is not at the expected offsets.
Problems only occur at mapping level 2.2 onwards.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHWS2LS is changed to fix the algorithmic error in the
generation of WSBind files. Any affected WSBind file will
need regenerating following application of the APAR.
