PM45980: DFHSJ0900 ILLEGAL JAVA VERSION MESSAGE ISSUE WHEN RUNNING JAVA V6.0.1

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Running CICS TS 4.1 with Java v.6.0.1 (31 bit) and UK70353
  and UK70354 applied, the following message occurs when executing
  the CICS sample Java programs:
  
  DFHSJ0900 Illegal Java version.  CICS required Java version
  1.6.0 but has found Java version 6.0.1.
  
  The JHE2 transaction will abend with an ASJJ abend.
  
  Java 6.0.1 is not being accepted as a valid level of Java due to
  an error in the build of PTF UK70354.

  APAR PM38397 provided support for running Java 6.0.1 with CICS
  TS 4.1.  That APAR shipped 2 PTFs, UK70353 and UK70354.  UK70353
  was correct but UK70354 failed to contain any of the APAR
  changes.  Instead it shipped out the previous best so far
  versions of the affected parts.
  
  When the PTFs are applied to the system and an attempt is made
  to use Java 6.0.1 in CICS then msgDFHSJ0900 will be issued
  indicating the version of Java is not supported.

  This APAR will reship the changes from PM38397 to support Java
  6.0.1 in CICS TS 4.1.
