APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • While loading a CFDT (Coupling Facility Data Table) from one
CICS region, another CICS region opens the same CFDT
file. The FILE READ command fails with RESP 94 (LOADING)
RESP2 104 .
After the loading is completed, tasks in the region that
originated the load, can access all the records in the CFDT,
while the other regions can only read a portion of the records.

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

While loading a CFDT from CICS Region A, an open request is
made from CICS Region B. READ requests from Region B then use
the wrong field to determine whether it is loading the table.
This results in a response of LOADING.

Error message from region B while FILE READ:
RESPONSE: LOADING  EIBRESP=+0000000094 EIBRESP2=+0000000104

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • DFHCFRQ is changed to test the correct field when determining
if the CFDT is being loaded.
