Error description

  • You are starting your Routing and Target MAS regions, and CPSM
begins loading the workload definitions for these regions. The
CMAS these regions are connected to tries to import the workload
from another CMAS in the CICSPlex that already has a copy of the
workload. When it does, you see the following message:
    .
EYUWI0084E WLM Query Workload was unable to locate object (2),
               key (type), update ignored

When a MAS is added to a CSYSGRP, then in each active CMAS that
manages the CICSplex associated with the MAS which has workloads
installed for the CICSplex, method EYU0WMUA (WMUA) is called to
determine if adding the MAS to the CSYSGRP causes it to become a
target region for any of the installed workloads. WMUA calls
method EYU0XCLG (XCLG) to return a list of workloads that the
CSYSGRP is associated with. WMUA then verifies that each list
entry is indeed associated with the workload, and if so sets the
MAS as a target region in the workload. If the MAS is active at
that time, then it will be joined as a target region to the
workload and message EYUWM0424I will be issued in the EYULOG of
the CMAS. If the MAS is not active, when it does become active,
it will be joined as a target region to the workload and message
    EYUWM0424I will be issued.

    - A logic error in XCLG may cause it to return invalid elements
in the list it returns to WMUA. WMUA has code to determine
if invalid elements were returned by XCLG, and fail the
request, issuing the EYUWM0403E message documented above.
This may also result in the MAS not being properly added as a
target region to workloads it should be associated with.

    - A logic error also exists in WMUA that may result in it not
determining that an invalid element was returned. In this
case it will improperly add the MAS as a target region to one
or more workloads, issuing invalid EYUWM0424I messages if the
MAS is active or when the MAS becomes active. If this
occurs, and the workload is imported from this CMAS to
another CMAS, the importing CMAS will issue the EYUWI0084E
       error message documented above.

Problem conclusion

  • - The logic error in XCLG has been corrected such that it
should never return invalid elements to WMUA.

    - The logic error in WMUA has been corrected such that if an
invalid element is returned to it from XCLG, instead of
failing the request or improperly associating the MAS as a
target region, it will issue an exception trace and continue
processing the list returned from XCLG. This way, the MAS
will be added as a target region to all workloads it should
       be associated with.
