Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When use EXEC CICS INQUIRE JVMPROFILE * * to inquire the JVM information, abend * * (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset * * X'1692' in module DFHSJIS. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The INQUIRE JVMPROFILE command has an optional HFSNAME parameter which would return the HFS file name of the JVMPROFILE. DFHEIQSY detects whether this parameter has been specified and pass it to DFHSJIS. GET_NEXT_JVMPROFILE will not check if JVMPROFILE_PATH_NAME is passed and use the residual storage as JVMPROFILE_PATH_NAME's address and length directly. This will lead to program check when access this invalid storage. Same problem also occurs in the procedure processing INQUIRE JVMPROFILE without the browsing. MESSAGE: DFHSJ0001 TFCICS An abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset X'1692' in module DFHSJIS. Key Words: ABEND0C4, S0C4, ABENDS0C4, SJ0001, MSGDFHSJ0001
Problem conclusion
DFHSJIS has been changed to check if JVMPROFILE_PATH_NAME is valid in parameter list before using them.
