Error description

  • Your MAS is trying to connect to the CMAS and fails. In the MAS
    you see
    .
    EYUNL0090W LMAS is shutting down because it failed to
               become available to process requests.
    .
    In the CMAS you see
    .
    EYUTS0002E Topology Connect for xxxxxxxx Failed
               - APPLID(yyyyyyyy) CICSplex(zzzzzzzz).
    EYUNL0090W LMAS is shutting down because it failed to
               become available to process requests.
    .
    It may be that resource records are out of sequence on the
    EYUDREP file. If that is the case, the CMAS AUX trace will have
    exception records with debug text XCLAXCL1 and status of
    NOT_SORTED.

Local fix

  • To temporarily recover from this issue until the PTF can be
    applied, the user can effectively reorg their EYUDREP file
    using the EYU9XDUT utility. They would allocate a new, empty
    EYUDREP file using IDCAMS, then run JCL similar to the following
    .

       //             PARM=('TARGETVER=0410')
       //STEPLIB   DD DISP=SHR,DSN=hlq.SEYUAUTH
       //EYUDREP   DD DISP=SHR,DSN=<old.customer.EYUDREP>
       //NEWREP    DD DISP=OLD,DSN=<new.customer.EYUDREP>
       //BYPASS    DD SYSOUT=*
       //SNAP      DD SYSOUT=*
       //SYSPRINT  DD SYSOUT=*
       //
    .
    The value for TARGETVER= would be the same release as they
    currently run. Then they would point their CMAS to the newly
    reorganized EYUDREP file.

    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
    *                 APAR, all CMASes must be recycled to pick up *
    *                 the changed code.  Note that the restarts do *
    *                 not need to occur at the same time.          *

    The reported problem can be caused by out of sequence topology
    resmap records for the MAS on the EYUDREP file. If this is the
    case, examination of the auxiliary trace data set from the
    connecting CMAS will show the following entries:

Problem conclusion

  • Modified EYU0XCRB to delete the invalid topology resmap records
    for the MAS.  Additionally, a new trace record will be written
    to the CMAS auxiliary trace data set as follows:
