**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: ALL CICS USER * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message DFHIS1023 coversion error code * * X'061D' and task getting hungs * * when CICS process CTG request over * * IPIC. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A ECI request comes from CTG over IPIC, the task CPMI attached but get queued on TCLASS, CTG will send a EXPD with purge type TIMEOUT to CICS after the ECI requestTIMEOUT expires. DFHISRR calls DFHISEM.PURGE_CONVERSATION and ABEND_CONVERSATION to resume CPMI for ABEND process.Neither dfhisxm.release_xm_client nor dfhisis_send_errorfree receive ISSB because DFHISEM ABEND_CONVERSATION set issb_timeout_rcvd and issb_purged to ture. When more and more ECI requests time out, all the RECEIVE sessions will being held by tasks and DFHISRR will reportexception NO_ISSB_AVAILABLE which leads to DFHIS1023 conversation error (code X'061D') report and task hung.
Problem conclusion
