  • CICS start looping when reading TDQ.
    ADDITIONAL SYMPTOMS:
      DFHSM0133 applid CICS is under stress
    short on Storage above 16MB SOS ETDSA USXDPOOL.
    Getmained by DFHUSXM FUNCTION(INIT_TRANSACTION_USER)
    Two calls per transaction.  Only one is freed.

    The second parameter is the Quickcell area in the subpool.
      In a dump, in the SM domain section,
    the USXDPOOL shows a large number of QPH
    (Quickcell Page Header)  control blocks.

    Tight loop in DFHTFP label TFPC66. Processing a TCTTE chaining
    through the ownership chain at offset x'98' -field TCTTEUCN
    which points to itself, causing the tight loop.

      It was set incorrectly at this trace entry:
    AP 05B0 TDXM DFHTDXM BIND_SECONDARY_FACILITY
    DFHTFBF BIND_FACILITY TFXM INIT_XM_CLIENT
    TFXM DFHTFXM INIT_XM_CLIENT
    should have never been called in the first place.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHALP has been changed to call DFHXMAT ATTACH with STARTCODE
    QD and a facility type of terminal.
