PM56303: EJBS DON'T RUN AFTER MIGRATION TO CICS TS V4.1

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The EJBs don't run anymore on an logical EJB server after the
  CICS environment was migrated from CICS TS 3.2/Java 1.4.2. to
  CICS TS 4.1/Java 1.5.
  .
  The attempt to call a EJB gets the following condition in the
  listener region:
  .
  DFHII1026 E CORBASERVER IIOP not installed.
  DFHII0108 E The request receiver was notified that a reply could
              not be delivered for requestId 5. Reason: Request
              Stream closed.
  
  The trace showed that CPSM didn't route the request to one of
  the AORs since the EJB had a 'home reference' containing the
  information that it was published by an CICS TS 3.2 region.
  It was tried therefore to exceute the program in the "Listener"
  region which failed with the above listed condition.
  
  The trace from the "Listner" region proved finally that the
  publish was done by a CICS TS 4.1 region advertising itself
  as CICS TS V3.2.

  EJB or CORBA references published by CICS TS Version 4 contain a
  version number that incorrectly indicates CICS TS V3.2. This
  version number is used by the CPSM Distributed Routing program,
  EYU9XLOP, to indicate which version of CICS the request must be
  routed to. If there are no target regions available at version
  3.2 then no target is selected, and CICS will attempt to process
  the EJB or CORBA request locally. This may result in further
  problems, including an org.omg.CORBA.INTERNAL exception being
  returned to the client.

Problem conclusion

• UserKey.java has been corrected to indicate the correct version
  of CICS. Any EJB or CORBA objects will have to be republished to
  JNDI after this APAR has been applied.
