Error description

  • Fault Analyzer is not able to detect duplicate CICS transaction
abends. Looking at a FA dump we were able to determine that
for AZI6 abends the TACB contains the ABNDREGH regs at offset
58 and ABNDGPRS at offset 98 for CICS TS 4.1.

When looking at a CICS TS 4.1 dump we can see that the TACB
ADDRESS at offset x'58' we have the ABNDREGH regs and the
    ABNDGPRS regs at offset x'98'.

The CICS Data Areas for DFHTACBS show the following
    offsets:(58) CHARACTER 64 ABNDGPRS GPREGISTERS 0 - 15 ON ENTRY
    TO ABEND (98) CHARACTER 64 ABNDREGH GPREGISTERS 0 - 15 HIGH
    WRDS ON ENTRY ABEND

The code in DFHZAND has an incorrect offset value into the stack
and the result is that the low word of one register and the
high word of the next register, which in turn results in the
contents of ABNDGPRS and ABNDREGH are incorrect.

    ****************************************************************
A CICS region is communicating with another CICS region.
AZI6 abend occurs due to a remote abend. DFHZAND creates the
TACB for the AZI6 but has invalid offsets to 64 bit registers
which results in the TACB containing invalid register
information. This results in Fault Analyzer being unable to
    detect duplicate abends.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHZAND is amended so that the correct 64 bit registers are
    passed to DFHABAB.
