Error description

  • You are using CEMT to inquire on FEPI resources including
TARGETs, NODEs, and POOLs. Once on the Inquiry menu,
placing a 'D' beside the resource to discard it results in
an error message depending on the resource type:

    DFHSZ4115 FEPI target . ... discard failed, code 116,
               for transaction CEMT
    DFHSZ4105 FEPI node . ... discard failed, code 117,
               for transaction CEMT
    DFHSZ4110 FEPI pool . ... discard failed, code 115,
               for transaction CEMT

CECI FEPI DISCARD... and CEMT DISCARD FExx seem to work as
    expected.

    ****************************************************************
Using CEMT to inquire on FEPI resources, TARGETs, NODEs and
POOLs. Once on the Inquiry menu, placing a 'D' beside the
resource to be discarded results in an error message depending
    on the resource type:
    .
DFHSZ4115 FEPI target TARGET1 discard failed, code 116, for
              transaction CEMT
DFHSZ4105 FEPI node NODE1 discard failed, code 117,
              for transaction CEMT
DFHSZ4110 FEPI pool POOL1 discard failed, code 115,
              for transaction CEMT
    .
A similar problem exists when an 'S' is placed beside the FEPI
resource on the Inquiry menu to invoke the SET menu and the
fields therein changed. The problem also exists when the field
values are overtyped on the CEMT Inquiry menu for a FEPI
resource. This problem with SET commands also affects FEPI
    CONNECTIONs.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been changed to allow FEPI SPI commands issued from the
CEMT INQUIRE panel to function normally.
