Error description

  • CICS offline statistics reporting program DFHSTUP is displaying
the number of TD Queue Deletes incorrectly. CICS is treating
DELETEQ requests and READQ QZERO conditions as the same thing
and displaying their combined total under TRANSIENT DATA -
Intrapartition section of the report.


READQ QZERO are included in the Deletes total and are not
counted in the Read total (TQREAD) as expected.

DFH0STAT Transient Data statistics show the same error.

*                      EXEC CICS READQ TD QZERO condition for  *
*                      an Intrapartition destination as a      *
*                      DELETEQ TD request.                     *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
Every time a READQ TD request is issued against an
Intrapartition destination with RECOVERY(NO) or
RECOVERY(PHYSICAL) and CICS finds a QZERO condition, a value of
1 is incorrectly added to the number of DELETEQ TD requests.

This will be seen in both DFHSTUP and DFH0STAT output.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • DFHTDB has been changed to count DELETEQ TD requests correctly.
