Error description

  • Customer received message DFHIR3780 with Return Code x'CC'
and Reason Code x'840F8000'. The reason code indicates a z/OS
abend 0F8 occured. This failure was realized during logon of an
address space to DFHIRP. DFHIRPL issued a DEQ macro and the 0F8
abend indicates:
RTM WAS ENTERED BECAUSE AN SVC WAS ISSUED IN AN IMPROPER MODE.
THE ERROR OCCURRED WHILE A LOCKED OR DISABLED ROUTINE WAS IN
CONTROL.

Message DFHIR3780 with Return Code x'CC' and Reason Code
x'840F8000' is issued when two CICS regions are attempting to
logon to DFHIRP simultaneously. This follows an MVS 0F8 ABEND
that occurs because DFHIRPL issues an MVS DEQ while an address
space holds the LOCAL lock.

Problem conclusion


    

  • DFHIRPL is changed to release the LOCAL lock before issuing
the MVS DEQ.
