Error description

  • MQ V71 with group units of recovery enabled, setting
    Resyncmember to Groupresync in CICS. An INITIAL or COLD start
    produces the message DFHMQ2065 which is issued invalidly. The
    problem is because MQ static storage is not available on the
    above starts and is on the AUTO. DFHMQCON needs to be corrected.

    * incorrectly and with the WMQ Queue *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    After migration to WMQ V7.0.1, which supports Group Unit of
    Recovery, the MQCONN resyncmember parameter was changed to
    groupresync. Following the CICS region restart of Initial or
    Cold and the reformatting of the catalogs, message msgDFHMQ2065
    was being issued even though no unresolved UOWs existed and the
    WMQ Queue Manager name insert was blanks.

    Keywords: MQ2065

Problem conclusion

  • DFHMQCON has been changed to ensure that a WMQ Queue Manager
    name is not blanks before checking for any unresolved UOWs.
