    * indicating a CICSplex was not found one *
    * or more times in a CMAS which does not *

    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this *
    * APAR, all CMASes must be recycled to pick *

    *                 the same time.                               *
    ****************************************************************
When a CMAS which manages one or more CICSplexes connects or
disconnects with another CMAS, modules EYU0CPAI (CPAI - Add to
CMAS-in-CICSplex Directory) or EYU0CPDI (CPDI - Remove from
CMAS-in-CICSplex Directory) are called to add or remove the
remote CMAS from the directory. During this process, module
EYU0TSFD (TSFD - Return Topology Object Descriptors) is called
to return the address of the CICSplex Descriptor (CPDB). If
the local CMAS does not manage the CICSplex, there is no CPDB,
and CPAI and CPDI bypass the code which would update the CPDB.
However TSFD issues message EYUTS0012E if it cannot find the
requested CICSplex Descriptor. This is a normal occurrance,
but the message reports the condition as an error.

Problem conclusion

  • The Method Argument List (MAL) for the TSFD calls from CPAI
and CPDI were modified to pass the NOMESS parameter to suppress
issuing message EYUTS0012E and tracing the occurrance as an
    exception.
