PM75565: EYUWM0506I AND EYUWM0508I MAY BE ISSUED AT REGION TERMINATION EVEN WHEN TARGET REGION IS NOT RUNNING OPTIMIZED

Error description

• During CICS region termination of a MAS that is a target region
  (AOR) for an active workload, CPSM may incorrectly issue the
  following two messages
  .
  EYUWM0506I Target region (cicsname) is not running in Sysplex
             Optimized WLM state.
  EYUWM0508I Target region (cicsname) optimization termination
             reason: (Optimization disabled).
  .
  These messages may be issued even if the MAS is not running in
  Sysplex Optimized WLM mode.
  .
    If you bring up an AOR after the workload is already created
    in the CMAS to which the AOR connects, you will see the
    messages when the AOR is terminated.
  .
    If you bring up the AOR before the workload is created in
    the CMAS to which the AOR connects, you will not see the
    messages.

  *                      -  When a CPSM WLM target region is not *
  *                         running in WLM optimized state,      *
  *                         messages EYUWM0506I and EYUWM0508I   *
  *                         may be improperly issued when the    *
  *                         region terminates or the CPSM agent  *
  *                         terminates in the region.            *
  *                                                              *
  *                      In either case, the text of the         *
  *                      messages will be similar to the         *
  *                      following:                              *
  *                                                              *
  *                        EYUWM0506I Target region (<aorname>)  *
  *                                   is not running in Sysplex  *
  *                                   Optimized WLM state.       *
  *                                                              *
  *                        EYUWM0508I Target region (<aorname>)  *
  *                                   optimization termination   *
  *                                   reason: (Optimization      *
  *                                   disabled).                 *

  * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
  *                 APAR, all MASes must be restarted.  Note     *
  *                 that the restarts do not need to occur at    *
  *                 the same time.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  When a CPSM WLM target region terminates or has its MAS agent
  terminated, if the region is runing in WLM optimized state,
  messages EYUWM0506I and EYUWM0508I should be issued to indicate
  that the regions is no longer running in WLM optimized state.
  Similarly, if the region is not running in WLM optimized state,
  then the messages should not be issued when it terminates or its
  MAS agent terminates.
  
  Logic errors in method EYU0WNRS (WNRS) can result in the
  messages being issued when they should not be issued, or not
  issued when they should be issued.
  

Problem conclusion

• EYU0WNRS has been updated to ensure that the EYUWM0506I and
  EYUWM0508I messages are issued properly when a CPSM WLM target
  region terminates or has its MAS agent terminated.
