  *                      written when policy threshold           *
  *                      exceeded.                               *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  When the threshold specified in a policy rule is exceeded no
  monitoring record is written out to describe which rule's
  threshold has been exceeded.
  

Problem conclusion

• A CICS monitoring exception record of type 'POLICY' (x'00004'
  which equates to EXCMNPOL) will be written when a threshold
  associated with a policy rule is exceeded. The total number
  of these exception records written for a task will be the
  same as the value of the 'thresholds exceeded' field
  MPPRTXCD in the performance record for the task.
