Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM V5R1M0 Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When MTRAN monitoring is requested in a * * MAS running CICS 670, the CPSM XMNOUT * * CICS global user exit (GLUE) will fail * * to enable, and message EYUNL0120W will * * be issued to the MAS's joblog and to * * the console. The text of the message * * will be similar to the following: * * * * EYUNL0120W ENABLE PROGRAM EYU9NMTE * * failed, RESP=63 * * EIBRCODE=80800000. * * * * As a result of the failure of the GLUE * * to enable, MLOCTRAN records for the MAS * * will be incomplete. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this * * APAR, all MASes must be restarted. Note * * that the restarts do not need to occur at * * the same time. * **************************************************************** When MTRAN monitoring is requested in a MAS, method EYU0NMMC (NMMC) issues an EXEC CICS ENABLE for the CPSM XMNOUT GLUE so that data can be collected for MLOCTRAN records. The program to be enabled is supposed to be set depending upon the release of CICS the MAS is running, as follows: CICS release Program ------------ -------- 680 EYU9NMTE 670 CJD9NMTE 660 CJC9NMTE 650 CJB9NMTE 640 CJA9NMTE An error in NMMC causes it to attempt to enable program EYU9NMTE instead of CJD9NMTE in a MAS running CICS 670. Since EYU9NMTE is not defined in a MAS running CICS 670, the enable request fails.
Problem conclusion
NMMC has been updated to correctly enable program CJD9NMTE in a MAS running CICS 670.
