Error description

  • AD3F abends because CICS is trying to issue a DB2 thread
terminate without having a thread associated.
.
Note it is not necessary for there to be a java program doing
SQL calls for this problem to happen.

A transaction accessing Websphere Operation Decision Manager
abends AD3F with DB2 status 00F30018.
The Websphere Operation Decision Manager starts a Java class
in CICS JVMServer by linking to DFHSJJI. The Java class
issues a number of DB2 calls and then syncpoints which
results in the thread being disassociated from the TCB.
At end of task syncpoint CICS tries to terminate the thread
but this fails because it is not associated with the TCB,
resulting in an abend AD3F.

Problem conclusion


    

  • DFHD2D2 has been altered to associate the CSB with the TCB
prior to terminating the thread if it has previously
been dissociated.
