An 0C4 abend can occur if a XMEOUT global user exit(GLUE)
supresses a DFH message when any MESSAGE system events are
enabled in the CICS region.
DFHMEME attempts to address the message inserts when
processing the message event but the pointers to the
message inserts were not set up due to the message
suppression and an abend 0C4 results.

Problem conclusion


    

  • DFHMEME has been changed to bypass call to DFHECSC, and hence
supress emission of MESSAGE system events, if a CICS (DFH)
or CPSM (EYU) message is suppressed by a XMEOUT global user
exit.
