PM80330: AFCV ABENDS USING CICS FILE CONTROL DELETES ACCESSING AN RLS NON-RECOVERABLE REPLICATED FILE

Error description

• AbendAFCV when using EXEC CICS DELETE FILE() on an RLS
  non-recoverable replicated file.

  *                      replication logging.                    *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  An AFCV abend occurs when writing a new record to a
  nonrecoverable RLS file that has replication logging active
  after having previously deleted a record with the same key.
  

Problem conclusion

• When deleting a record from a nonrecoverable RLS file that has
  replication logging active, CICS failed to issue an ENDREQ
  command with the RPLKRNRQ bit turned on that releases the lock.
  This resulted in the next task to write a record with that
  key timing out because it could not obtain the lock.
  

Temporary fix
